Love card

Hello all!

I'm so proud of myself!
I made this card for Wilfred (not specifically for Vday).
Please look at the details - from the 2 people at the bottom to the words - basically everything.

I cut them like mad!
Those that i used the black colored paper was cut continuously, without any cut in between.
So it was extremely tedious.
And I spent like 3 hours.

And this is the back, of course without the content for you guys to see (:

Everytime I'll spend a lot of time making him a card/letter/drawing.
Actually I typed one whole chuck on the importance of investing time in a relationship but realised I'm not qualified to sound like I'm right.
Haha.

I used to make birthday cards for besties - but that was very long time ago.
Nowadays, I'm really occupied with stuff so making a card like this requires me to set aside time.
I only started doing this after 10pm.

P.S My mum is in BKK now. Hope she enjoy her trip. Cant wait to see her on Sunday (:

A Wicked Tuesday and An Open door

Good morning all!
How was your Tuesday yesterday?

Since you cannot literally tell me, I shall tell you mine.

Mine began with a crazy 8am lesson which means, I have to wake up at 6.
I'm seriously not a morning person.
It's as good as asking Xiting(my bestie) to wake up at 6 for class because the probability of her skipping class is 1.

Having said that, I didnt skip the class.
It's my core mod.

And after class, I mugged for 2hours for my biological psychology test.
It's so tough ):
Dang, nehmind.

And lessons continue all the way till 6pm.
And Wilfred came to school to pick me up!

We were really really hungry (we always are) and so we bought the sandwich from my school's vending machine and munched our way to MBS.

And he bought flowers too.
Aprreciate appreciate.

I'm not a flower person.
In fact, I'm perfectly fine even if he didnt buy.
But yknow school always jumps on business opp and there bound to be sale of flowers during Vday.
So he bought it in my school while waiting for me.
Not very romantic, I know.
But I dont mind cos flowers dont even smell, to me.

And MBS for Wicked!

And during Wicked interval, we bumped into Wilfred's bestie.
We helped them take a photo!

And us too!

Wicked is nice!
Of course, it'll be better if I'm not that tired.
Didn't fall asleep but Wilfred and I were yawning non stop, serious.

Wilfred is aweosme.
We are going 2 years and he's still as sweet, or sweeter, than before.
Do you know that he signed up for a near 100$ scrapbooking course (2 days) just to make a Vday scrapbook piece for me?
And he told me he was the only guy in the class.
And how he was always the last - a hurt to his ego.
Cant show you the final piece yet because he still has one more class to go this Friday.
So that's how sweet my boyfriend is - attend a girly course to make a gift for me.
Ultimate touched.

Now, this is the part that about my..how do I put it..
My consideration.

On the car, on the way to MBS, I received a text from Jimmy(a staff from YMCA, I/C of my club), asking me to call him.
So I thought it was about a conference that I'm organizing.
And I called.

After speaking for less than 1minute, I came to the realization that YMCA wants to send me to a conference (again) in HK for 5 days in March.

Hehe. Of course not to shop like this right.

HongKong YMCAs are really prestigious (rich, I mean).

Ever since God led me to YMCA, a lot of opportunities come in.
Became an Exco in Year1Sem1, then to a President in Year2, to be the chairperson of an Asia&Pacific Conference, to be funded for 2 conferences in Penang and now, 1 to come.

I'm not boosting.
Nothing to boost about because it's not what I have achieved by myself but because of what God has provided me.
I never think that stepping YMCA is a coincidence.

My friend told me that it's kind of nice to hold position like these because it'll beautify my resume.
I have never even thought of my resume before, not before or after I took up all these positions.
Because I'm sure God will provide a path for me and I will follow.
I dont even have a resume now, seriously.
If I ever needed to do one, I'm going to copy Meiwei's or Xiting's.
HAHA.

Jimmy once shared this with me and my VP,

"Say if I dismantle my watch thoroughly (ALL parts) and put into a box. And I shake the box for 24 hours, or 48 hours. What do you think it's the probability that the all the parts will be fixed back into a watch?"

We all know the answer, isn't it.
It's zero.

"So what makes you think the sun rises and set and all the creations and everything comes naturally? There must be a creator, isn't it?"

Of course, he isnt questioning me when he says "what makes you think".
He was sharing with us.
But it's true isnt it.
What deems as natural do not just come natural without the work of a creator.

Anyway, I was digressing too much.
The thing now is, I dont know if I should go for the conference.
Because I wanted to step down next semester (no one in YMCA knows this yet) but Wilfred had asked me not to.
When I told him I wanted to step down so I can join roller blading club and he told me that this kind of recreational CCA, I can do at my free time. But serving in the community (with leadership position and guidance) does not come easily.
True.

So if I join the conference, I'm saying yes to another term in UniY and work to be done because YMCA has the thought of nominating me as Singapore representative in the Youth Committee for the conference.
Chim right.
Means not easy role lah.
Also, I've to miss a week of school.

By left and right, it's a good opportunity to go because I need to network for my upcoming conference.
I need to go there to promote and garner support for the conference.
Having been to 2 conference, I know, it's all about networking.

What's my decision?
I'm still thinking.
I'm thinking out loud when I write this post.
Still discussing with Wilfred.
He told me to ask God for direction.

How is your wedding going to be?

The question kept popping out when we were at a wedding today," How is your wedding going to be?"

Well, I wasn't asking myself.
People were asking us.
Of course let Wilfred catch all the arrows right.


Anyway, went to Shelby and Arron's wedding today @ Grand Park.
I love their door gifts!

The good thing about going as a couple, we got each of the two different gifts:

(Above) The one on the left is a luggage/bag tag in the shape of a heart, which is really pretty.
But I LOVE the one on the right best.

It's a set of poker cards with 52 different love messages on each card!
See..even the cover and the box are so prettttty..

And see what I got from Wilfred.
Guess what is this!

We were sitting together with our fellow church servers and the lady sitting beside me had her bag hooked on a bag holder.
And it was so so so pretty!
It has the text "God is love" and has diamonds/crystals around it.

So I nudged Wilfred and exclaimed to him how pretty the bag holder is.
Up till now, you dont know what it is right!
Then Wilfred said," I also have one for you! Forgot to pass to you."

And he started digging his bag.
I thought he was lying yknow.
But if he started digging, it wont be fake lah.
He's not such an ass.

And he took it out!
I was totally surprised.

There you go, a bag holder!
It holds your bag and it's so convenient to use/keep.

So I can use it at everywhere! (:

A Wednesday Night with Wilfred

Every Wednesday night, I will stayover at Wilfred's house if we volunteer at KG together.
Yesterday was no exception.

Before switching off the lights, I was all snuggled up, with blanket wrapping around me.
I love blanket.
And I asked him," Dont I look comfy"
He said,"It looks like I'll be cold."

He switched off the aircon and on the fan.

Well, basically, every time we share a blanket, I would have the entire blanket wrapped around me the next morning.
I've no idea how it happens, but it always do.
And he always freezes.
He will always say,"I'm going to freeze to death and you wrap like a cocoon."

So, with the fan on and the lights off, I still have the blanket wrapped around me and he didn't have because he's afraid of warm.
He hugged me from the back, with me inside the blanket, I started sharing with him my day.
And he was quiet which made me think if he was asleep.
But I didnt bother checking, just continue talking.

Till I reach the part,"..so I told my friend what I'm doing for Vday. I told her I'm going to watch Wicked musical and.."
Suddenly, in the dark, he said,"You're not supposed to say that. It's a secret. You're not supposed to know anyway."

Then he couldnt stand the heat, he stood up and on the aircon.
He started hiding one side of the blanket UNDER him.
He asked me to test tugging the blanket.
I couldnt pull out.
He said," Let's see if this method work. See if I'll still have blanket tomorrow morning."

Simple, normal night.
But amidst this simplicity, there's happiness.

Tired but midterm is next weekl

I'm  so tired like a tired.
I hardly study past 12midnight but have been doing so these few days.
Because my biological psychology midterm is next week and I only realised it a few days back.

And the structure of the paper is 3-5 essays.
So that means, I got to mug like a mugger.

Barely keeping awake in lecture.
Back to my Nervous System!

Hua Jun's 21st bday

This morning went for Wilfred's event (he organized) at Kampong Glam's CC, called breakfast with love.
Basically, the event is to give breakfast to the old people at the district.

So woke up at 6 and helped out till 8plus and I went for my APUY meeting.
Had our 1st subcomm meeting and it was really fruitful (:
Praise the Lord!

Home-d, lunch-ed, napped.
Then went for tuition.
Shorten my tuition by 1.5hours.
One of the reasons why I love teaching her is that she's really flexible.
I only told her when I reached that I'm going to shorten the tuition and she's fine.

So went for HuaJun's 21st birthday party!

From yishun to huajun's house is really far but Xiting came to fetch me!

2 weeks back I received a letter from Ministry of Health informing me that I'll be turning 21 years old soon and they are taking my organs if I die.

Okay, under the Human Organ Transplant plan Act (HOTA), my kidneys, heart, liver and corneas will be used for the purpose of transplantation unless I submit a form which can be found in this book (that they sent) to let them know I object.

Of course I'm not going to be an ass and object right.
In addition, I found a yellow form at the back of the book too!
It's an organ donation pledge.

So I made the effort to fill up the form to indicate that I'm willing to donate any needed organs/parts.
Basically they can take everything lah.
And my mum sent for me! (:

Today, I received my Organ Donor Card!

It was mentioned it the form that I should bring this around with me at all times.
Haha.
My mum said they cannot wait for me to donate my organs.
So once I'm found that, people are going to call the number at the card and all my organs will be taken.

Up to them.
There will be no pain after death.
More people can be helped and that's a good thing (:


I guess my organs will be really good because:

• I have perfect eyesight!
• I dont drink - really good liver!
• I dont smoke - really good lungs! (will they take my lungs anyway?)

YEP training course by Blossom training

Hello all!

Well,I went for YEP training course - conducted by Ms Jenny from Blossom training in January.
Because to be certified to lead a team for an International Service Project and enjoy the subsidy from YEP, all leaders must undergo the training.
And I'm leading a team in May!

It is held over 2 weekends (2 weeks of Saturdays and Sundays).
The first week is theory-based.
Includes discussion, skit, lecture-style and sharing.
It starts around 9am and usually ends before the predicted timing - 5pm.

The second week, we had out lessons outdoor!
We had a 2D1N camp at Pulau Ubin.
We stayed at a local's place.

It's really a nice experience knowing friends from different Universities and lecturers from Polys.
Still remember that there was a storm at 3am and we had to wake up to dash into the stuffy rooms.

My mum is a punk and I love my buys

Okay, I'm going to share about 2 totally irrelevant stuffs.
I wanted to do my readings before I go for tuition but I received my items and I'm eager to share!


Received my two parcels today! (:

I think I'm quite a good buyer.
I bought 10 packets of instax films (100pieces) with free photo hanger (with pegs) and album.
Okay, the free gifts are not the catch.

The catch is, I got the 10packets for around 70$.
That's like a total steal please.

And I bought these cute thumb drives (Wilfred insisted that there are called FLASH drives. But do you say flash drive too?)
They're the cutest flash drives I have ever seen!

There're options of 4GB and 8GB but I bought purely for the cuteness so I choose the smaller ones.
They're made of silicon material!! (:

The best part about this croco, it's able to glow in the dark!
So I just have to open the mouth and stuck the thumb drive in to use.

& my mum cut her hair recently!
Well, she shaved!

She shaved the bottom half of her head so when she let down her hair, it cannot be seen.
But when she's feeling hot, she can tie it up and feels cooler (that's what she said)

Strictly speaking, my mum is really a cool mum.

Dinner with besties

Hello all!

Met up wtih besties for dinner @ Old Airport Road.
It's so so so..great to hang out with them after school.
And laughed at those things they shared.

We need to start taking photos when we are together! (:
So I can keep a collection of their photos and grow old with them.
