The question kept popping out when we were at a wedding today," How is your wedding going to be?"

Well, I wasn't asking myself.
People were asking us.
Of course let Wilfred catch all the arrows right.

Anyway, went to Shelby and Arron's wedding today @ Grand Park.
I love their door gifts!

The good thing about going as a couple, we got each of the two different gifts:

(Above) The one on the left is a luggage/bag tag in the shape of a heart, which is really pretty.
But I LOVE the one on the right best.

It's a set of poker cards with 52 different love messages on each card!
See..even the cover and the box are so prettttty..

We were sitting together with our fellow church servers and the lady sitting beside me had her bag hooked on a bag holder.
And it was so so so pretty!
It has the text "God is love" and has diamonds/crystals around it.

So I nudged Wilfred and exclaimed to him how pretty the bag holder is.
Up till now, you dont know what it is right!
Then Wilfred said," I also have one for you! Forgot to pass to you."

And he started digging his bag.
I thought he was lying yknow.
But if he started digging, it wont be fake lah.
He's not such an ass.

And he took it out!
I was totally surprised.

There you go, a bag holder!
It holds your bag and it's so convenient to use/keep.

So I can use it at everywhere! (:

A Wednesday Night with Wilfred

Every Wednesday night, I will stayover at Wilfred's house if we volunteer at KG together.
Yesterday was no exception.

Before switching off the lights, I was all snuggled up, with blanket wrapping around me.
I love blanket.
And I asked him," Dont I look comfy"
He said,"It looks like I'll be cold."

He switched off the aircon and on the fan.

Well, basically, every time we share a blanket, I would have the entire blanket wrapped around me the next morning.
I've no idea how it happens, but it always do.
And he always freezes.
He will always say,"I'm going to freeze to death and you wrap like a cocoon."

So, with the fan on and the lights off, I still have the blanket wrapped around me and he didn't have because he's afraid of warm.
He hugged me from the back, with me inside the blanket, I started sharing with him my day.
And he was quiet which made me think if he was asleep.
But I didnt bother checking, just continue talking.

Till I reach the part,"..so I told my friend what I'm doing for Vday. I told her I'm going to watch Wicked musical and.."
Suddenly, in the dark, he said,"You're not supposed to say that. It's a secret. You're not supposed to know anyway."

Then he couldnt stand the heat, he stood up and on the aircon.
He started hiding one side of the blanket UNDER him.
He asked me to test tugging the blanket.
I couldnt pull out.
He said," Let's see if this method work. See if I'll still have blanket tomorrow morning."

Simple, normal night.
But amidst this simplicity, there's happiness.

Tired but midterm is next weekl

I'm so tired like a tired.
I hardly study past 12midnight but have been doing so these few days.
Because my biological psychology midterm is next week and I only realised it a few days back.

And the structure of the paper is 3-5 essays.
So that means, I got to mug like a mugger.

Barely keeping awake in lecture.
Back to my Nervous System!

Hua Jun's 21st bday

This morning went for Wilfred's event (he organized) at Kampong Glam's CC, called breakfast with love.
Basically, the event is to give breakfast to the old people at the district.

So woke up at 6 and helped out till 8plus and I went for my APUY meeting.
Had our 1st subcomm meeting and it was really fruitful (:
Praise the Lord!

Home-d, lunch-ed, napped.
Then went for tuition.
Shorten my tuition by 1.5hours.
One of the reasons why I love teaching her is that she's really flexible.
I only told her when I reached that I'm going to shorten the tuition and she's fine.

So went for HuaJun's 21st birthday party!

From yishun to huajun's house is really far but Xiting came to fetch me!

2 weeks back I received a letter from Ministry of Health informing me that I'll be turning 21 years old soon and they are taking my organs if I die.

Okay, under the Human Organ Transplant plan Act (HOTA), my kidneys, heart, liver and corneas will be used for the purpose of transplantation unless I submit a form which can be found in this book (that they sent) to let them know I object.

Of course I'm not going to be an ass and object right.
In addition, I found a yellow form at the back of the book too!
It's an organ donation pledge.

So I made the effort to fill up the form to indicate that I'm willing to donate any needed organs/parts.
Basically they can take everything lah.
And my mum sent for me! (:

Today, I received my Organ Donor Card!

It was mentioned it the form that I should bring this around with me at all times.
Haha.
My mum said they cannot wait for me to donate my organs.
So once I'm found that, people are going to call the number at the card and all my organs will be taken.

Up to them.
There will be no pain after death.
More people can be helped and that's a good thing (:

I guess my organs will be really good because:

I have perfect eyesight!
I dont drink - really good liver!
I dont smoke - really good lungs! (will they take my lungs anyway?)

YEP training course by Blossom training

Hello all!

Well,I went for YEP training course - conducted by Ms Jenny from Blossom training in January.
Because to be certified to lead a team for an International Service Project and enjoy the subsidy from YEP, all leaders must undergo the training.
And I'm leading a team in May!

It is held over 2 weekends (2 weeks of Saturdays and Sundays).
The first week is theory-based.
Includes discussion, skit, lecture-style and sharing.
It starts around 9am and usually ends before the predicted timing - 5pm.

The second week, we had out lessons outdoor!
We had a 2D1N camp at Pulau Ubin.
We stayed at a local's place.

It's really a nice experience knowing friends from different Universities and lecturers from Polys.
Still remember that there was a storm at 3am and we had to wake up to dash into the stuffy rooms.

Okay, I'm going to share about 2 totally irrelevant stuffs.
I wanted to do my readings before I go for tuition but I received my items and I'm eager to share!

Received my two parcels today! (:

I think I'm quite a good buyer.
I bought 10 packets of instax films (100pieces) with free photo hanger (with pegs) and album.
Okay, the free gifts are not the catch.

The catch is, I got the 10packets for around 70$.
That's like a total steal please.

And I bought these cute thumb drives (Wilfred insisted that there are called FLASH drives. But do you say flash drive too?)
They're the cutest flash drives I have ever seen!

There're options of 4GB and 8GB but I bought purely for the cuteness so I choose the smaller ones.
They're made of silicon material!! (:

The best part about this croco, it's able to glow in the dark!
So I just have to open the mouth and stuck the thumb drive in to use.

& this is the froggy for Wilfred.

& this is the dino for my tutee (:

& my mum cut her hair recently!
Well, she shaved!

She shaved the bottom half of her head so when she let down her hair, it cannot be seen.
But when she's feeling hot, she can tie it up and feels cooler (that's what she said)

Strictly speaking, my mum is really a cool mum.

SOME FACTS ABOUT HER:

- tattoos : checked. I think she has 4 of them. And she got them around 5-6 years ago. (The above is one of those. She claims it's a phoenix)
- plastic surgery : checked. I don't think she mind sharing which part she plastic-ed because she always said, "If want to do, don't hide".
So she had her nose bridge done and had minor (very minor because she's not that old what) facelift.
- her BEST English word when she gets angry AT OTHER PEOPLE is : Fuck.

I'm serious.
She can get really angry and start scolding vulgarities (and may box you too).
But she doesn't scold at home or at us.
Amazingly, we (us all - me and my brothers) dont use vulgarities - not spoken, not written, not any form.
I dont mean it's bad. We dont know the art of it.
I really mean vulgairities is an art yknow.
I totally have no idea, how can someone string SO MANY VULGARITIES IN ONE SENTENCE.

Example: knn, ccb, f**ker hurry up lah.

Oh, I heard that while I was walking past this couple and she was really fluent with it.
At that moment, I was like, "Wow, how did she do that."
I'm saying, I KNOW the existence of all these words, but i dont use them (yes, I just typed them. For this post only.)

Amidst all these, she's an excellent mum.
She doesn't smoke, doesn't drink, doesn't hit us..
Basically, she's a nice mum with unexplainable love for stuffs she deems cool.

I mean with tattoos and vulgarities, it seems like she's a hooligan mum who doesn't take care of the family.
Totally no.
She drives to work everyday and brings dinner home every night (:
And she loves online shopping.
Haha.

I guess it's nice that she has this type of character - carefree type - , she gives us freedom with love.
- She has total trust in Wilfred. She allows us to go for holiday together.
- I make decisions for all my stuffs.
- She applies credit cards for us once we hit 18 and believes that we are in control of our finances.
- No curfew
Basically, she trusts that I'm old enough to handle things, and knows that she'll be there for me.

Weekends past really fast.

So had CSP (Community Service Progam) yesterday morning @ Clementi.

Then had 2.5hrs of tuition thereafter.

& went to Friends restaurant @ Jelita for dinner.

It's our second time there and it's really a nice place.

Wilfred bought the deal.sg coupon which we can have 4 course meal @ 19.90$ instead of 105.80$.

That's a steal, especially at Friends Restaurant @ Jelita because they serve really atas food.

Chilled Marinated Herb Mussels (topped with citrus pineapple salsa)

Wilfred's :
Marinated Seafood Salad (assorted mesclun salad topped with marinated prawn & squid, white wine lemon vinaigrette dressing)
The prawn is really fresh and yummy.

Soup:
Top up $2 for Wild Forest Mushroom Soup (with truffle essence & chives)
Together with the complementary bread, it's super yummy.

Main:
Grilled Smoked Jumbo BBQ Pork Rib & Pork Shoulder Platter served with potato mousse & mesclun salad, BBQ sauce

Tired to the max but it's only 6.54pm.
It's weird to catch a nap at this timing so I shall blog and proceed to readings (:

My mum and younger bro are in Msia now (Yes, my younger bro skipped school for 3 days).
& she rang me up in the morning.
Long story short, she went around announcing to everyone that I treat her to BKK and she's flying in Feb.
& I made my elder brother treat them for hotel stay!
So it's an all-covered-for holiday. (Yes, I'll be giving her shopping money before she flies)
Well, considering her love for me, this is nothing.
I'm so glad I made her happy (*insert heart shape*)

Aim for 2012 : treat both my parents to cruise at year end (I guess I can manage that financially)
Well, I will strongly consider treating my younger brother because my mum feels bad leaving my younger brother in Spore.

& I helped Wilfred to fix his wardrobes on Tueday!
He ordered from Ikea.
And they are really huge.
I'm so glad he loves my help (*insert heart shape*)

& I made plans for our vday.
Okay, I'm such a domineering girlfriend but you could say that I'm kind because he doesn't have time to plan.
I told him to secretly buy Wicked musical tickets (he can get from our church friend at a 30% discount) and pick me up from school that day so we can go watch together.
And I'll pretend to be surprised!

Okay, I'm not really a Vday person.
It's not any special day, not his bday or whatsoever.
He treats me well EVERYDAY - he bought me a piano even though it's not Vday.
And I treat him well EVERYDAY too - I bought him shirts and tells him jokes everyday.
So not a big fuss to me PLUS I'm not the romantic kind of person (though he is).

I still rmbed that he played a song (on guitar and sang) for me on Vday or my bday, and I don't know how to react (I just gave a blank look and looked around).
He commented he was playing to a sheep (from the Chinese idiom playing to a cow, but my zodiac is goat).
What can I do when a guy plays a guitar and sing to me, looking in my eyes?
Gives me goosebumps.
Not because it's disgusting, it's simply because I'm not the romantic kind of person.
But he totally is. HAHA.
He is the kind who will watch romance movie while I totally love action and comedy.
So we will settle for romance comedy and action.
Did you know one of the love letters he gave me was filled with a romance movie plot?
He's that cute.

I bet a lot of you caught this beautiful rainbow on Saturday.
Here's my version:

On the train for reunion dinner with Wilfred's family.
& we got really bored on train ride.

Had reunion dinner at Furama Riverfront Hotel - International buffet.
Yum yum.
I specially love the cereal prawns.

Look at this boy, eating ice cream like a kid.
He put the sprinklers on a small bowl so that he can dip his ice cream.

Sunday = Church day.
Theme : red and gold.
So decided to wear our Vietnam shirts though they're not exactly gold.

After church, we had reunion dinner with my family at my house.
Steamboat.
Yum yum.

& all of a sudden while at my grandpa's place, my mum called to say she need us to fetch her into Msia.
In short, my uncle met an accident (not life-threatening) so Wilfred and I drove her in at around 8plus9 pm.
& I just 拜年 with my parents and kept the red packet under my pillow.

So just random conversation with my mum.
Which I think she's really funny.

Mum: How much did I give Wilfred for red packet last year?
Me: Dont know. (Like why would I know right?)
Mum: Ah, you guys have been together more than a year, so have to increase his red packet money.

This is totally: duration of r/s is proportionate to redpacket money.
Yes, Wilfred is going to read this but I've told him about this because I think it's really weird for my mum to have this kind of idea.

Had one lesson of class yesterday.
Accompanied buddy for gift-hunting after that.
Supposed to meet Wilfred for his dental but I went shopping first.
Shopped at Esprit and bought my mum and him a top.
Met him and bought bday gift for my dad.
Dined at Crystal Jade.
Shopped at Watson (love the travel pack facial stuff that I bought)
Shopped at H&M (& he suggested to wear theme clothes together to church this year. How come my boyfriend so romantic one).

I would pull him away if I don't like the clothes that he wants to buy.
He would tell me it's not nice if he doesn't like the clothes.
& he would tell me happily, when we reached the ladies section, that it's his turn to choose the colors for me.

Conclusion: I have not buy my new year clothes. Only bought one T-shirt.

have fun with the one you love

I had an 8am lesson today and so, that means I've to be awake up 6am.
With the make up lesson, my day was scheduled to end at 8pm.

I love to random text Wilfred even if he doesn't reply (I posted our msg snapshots sometime back).
Well, not exactly love, just a habit.
So I texted him, worried that I might not pull through till the 8pm lesson.
Of course I HAVE to pull through till 8pm but I was really tired.

After my last lesson, I checked my phone (Excuse me, I dont use phone in class. Basic courtesy).
Wilfred said he was on his way to pick me up.
I was totally surprised!
Because as far as I know, he was supposed to be in reservist and he cant get out this week.

So we had dinner and he fetched me home then he went back to camp.

Surprises do not need to be expensive, just have to be filled with love.

So blessed to have him.
The reason why he was so tired, it was all because of me.

Let me explain.
On Saturday, I had to be at Changi Jetty at 9am - 2D1N camp at Pulau Ubin.
So he fetched me there early in the morning before he went to work.

So Sunday, he picked me up at Changi Jetty at 3pm (well, he was there much earlier).
And then, he fetched me home to let me bathe and have a quick bite.
Then he fetched me to Punggol for Psychology data collection at 5pm.
Thereafter, he picked me up after my collection ended which was at 730pm.

And he has been doing all these during these times that we are together (:
If driving me around is within his capacity, he will insist so to let me have a short nap in the car.

Having said all these, I'm capable of taking public transports myself.
To prove this case, I am moving from places to places myself while he is in reservist these 2 weeks (although he insisted of coming to fetch me after my tuition last Thursday after his bookout).

Whenever I told him I can manage the transportation myself, he would say he want to manage me.
Whenever I told him I dont have lesson the next day so I can take my time to go home after tuition, he would tell me he doesnt want to break the cycle of picking me up.
Whenever I told him I am independent, he would say, " Are you going to marry yourself? "

I sound totally lovesick.
But no.
Seeing him so tired whenever he drives me around to fit my schedule, I'm doubly appreciative of him.
Even after we're together for 1 yr plus, going 2 yrs, I still thank him personally when he picks me up.
And he will say, " Of course, you're my darling."

Hello all!
I'm so so so busy..

I have YEP training course - so 2 weekends are burnt out.
I kinda like it. Learnt a lot from it.
Made a lot of friends too - from SMU, NTU and NUS (:
So this coming weekend, we will be having a 2D1N camp at Pulau Ubin.

And there are so many events at hand!
Okay, all that aside, we celebrated (early celebration) my brother's 22nd birthday!

It's extremely ulu but surprisingly, a lot of people are there.
Well, the food is yummy!!! (:

Oh, I didnt realise Wilfred didnt wear glasses that day.

The place has a very cosy feeling (:

Oh, we bought our clothes at Cambodia.
His top cost 5$ and mine dress cost 6$.

Last thursday, went for lunch with Wilfred at Sentosa Golf Club.

A place for fine dining and having been to Forlino, I totally know how all the fine dining stuffs work.
Anyway, he was busy doing his work - using my laptop to send emails.

He was exceptionally busy at the end of December but thereafter, he has time for me.

It wasnt as bad as what I heard.

Trip to Cambodia, Siem Reap, a few things to note:

Currency used : USD and Riels ( Riels cannot be exchanged out of Cambodia)
Good to have the mini guide book (not lonely planet please) which is readily available over there. We got it for free in the church
Tuktuk pricing starts from 1USD (dont be a pig and let the tuktuk driver brings you around Angkor Wat for 1USD). And we always walked to old market but took 1USD tuktuk back to church. Always gives 1.50 USD when arrived at destination.
Angkor temple - one day entrance fee = 20USD. There are 3 / 7 days entrance ticket. Angkor temple is HUGE. There are many other nice temples.

I planned the trip with God's guidance! (:

Travelling in December is expensive.
Costs us ard 500$ / pax for air ticket (booked through SIA, fly by Silkair).

Met the Tuktuk driver at 5am for the sunrise at Angkor Wat.
All day, from 5am-5pm, transport fee that we paid for Tuktuk is 15USD
We did not bargain with him because the price is pretty reasonable.
They're making a living, my friend.

A few items you need when visiting Angkor Wat and taking a TukTuk:

A shawl/scarf/mask to cover nose/mouth on a tuktuk. The road is rather sandy.
A sunglass
Some temples require at least knee length short
Pee before going Angkor Wat

Of course, love the boyfriend who travels all the way with me to support my cause - fund-raise for the villagers.

But they impose a new regulation - only 300 pax are allowed up the peak - and there was a looooooong queue.

Catching sunset on a tuktuk is good enough.

I wont be updating about the Cambodia trip so soon.
Because...
I left one of my SD cards over there.
I brought 2 over. The first one in my camera is an 8GB; and the second one is a 16GB.
Long story short, on the dont-know-which day, I change SD card and when we came back to Singapore that day, I changed bag (threw the old one away cos I bought a new one there) and I left it in the hotel.

So I dont have the first few days pictures with me.
And they are charging me 17USD to send the SD card back..
Okay lor..no choice.

Anyway, we went Angkor Temple!

They are the reasons why I went back to Siem Reap again.
I can never express how poor how needy the children and people in the village are.
And this time, I'm glad I brought Wilfred along so to help to spread the word.

Just this village itself, more than 200 children need food.
And with limited resources, the kind Catholic Church provides them with food once a week.
It is called the rice soup program.
The Catholic Church is supporting other villages too.

Clothes and shoes are not luxury goods to them.

All they ask is a shelter over their heads...

and food to eat.

Because the program only supports the children (due to limited resources), the children pack the leftover rice soup (from their bowl) into plastic bag secretively for their parents..

Thankful for people (Chow and Wilfred's friends) who had donated their clothes.
I brought to 2 villages and I'm sure the clothes are a blessing to them(:

Hello all!

This is an update on my Vietnam trip.
This trip is different because we go on tour (FIRST TIME).
Reason being, this is a volunteer retreat.

A short update.

Things that you've to try in Vietnam -

Local beer - Saigon beer.

Local fruit - Star apple
The juice is white.

Cu Cui tunnel.

Walk the small tunnel.

Have fun with the people around you.
For us, on a boat.

Stay at a nice hotel (:

Go for a ride on a Vietnamese style boat.

Along a canal.
Watch the lives of the local - catching prawns with bare hands.

A ride on a pony.

Take a picture with someone who dotes on you.

Just let your boyfriend enjoys his time taking a picture of a butterfly and then you upload on your blog.

Have a taste of elephant ear fish and dinosaur egg.

Have about common fastfood in their country?

And forgot to reset the mode, having it in food mode.
We look extra delicious.

More yummy food not to be missed.

Hello all.
This post is on the outdated Batam trip.

So the night before, Wilfred discovered that we need to go Tanah Merah Terminal instead of the usual Vivo city to Batam.
Well, we needed to reach ard 9am and Tanah Merah Terminal is crazily far.

So he stayed over at my hse the night before and the next day, we cabbed to TMT.
It was drizzling so he made me stand in the shelter while he flagged for cab.

Reached.

Our companion.

Breakfast at Killiney.
I had eaten at Marina Sq's, TMT's and Airport's Killiney.
Only Marina's can make it - for the toast bread - the rest taste like the awful cheap thick toast bread.

No like.

He came over my hse and I saw that he wore the couple tee so I followed suit.

Drizzling.
And there's land transfer which is really hassle-free.

Checked-in.
We stayed at Turi Beach.
Nice place, with aircon.
Word of caution - there's mozzie.

We stayed directly in front of the pool!!

Toilet!
Im very particular if the toilet has hair dryer not.
Cos of my thick pile of hair to be dried before bed.
And there is!

Im such a vain pot.
I chged out of my shirt.

Waiting for bus to go shopping mall.
The problem about staying at ulu resort, travelling out is expensive (I said this many times in my blog yet I always do this. HAHA)
Taking the shuttle bus out cost us 8$ per pax, to and fro.

The shopping mall is boring!
I forgot what's the name, there's a better one out there which i went before!
But okay lah, there's A&W.

And thereafter, we killed time by eating ice cream and playing arcade!
So fun.
I kept losing at racing car and so, I made Wilfred wait for 5 secs before driving.
And at the last round, he brake at the line and I got first!
I didnt know he brake! I thought I got first because I was that good.
Crap.
Sounds like a disappointed kid who knows that tooth fairy is the mum.

Went back to sleep - our hobby.
And I was so hungry that I need to wake him up from bed!

My Dec plan (well, specially for besties because they've no idea when I'm in Singapore):

2 - 3 Dec : 2D1N Batam trip
9 - 11 Dec : Vietnam trip - this is my only trip in dec that I think, in practical sense, not worth the money. I will never, in my right mind, pay 700$ for a 3D2N Vietnam trip. I would have stay longer in the country. But like how I had once pay around 200-250$ air ticket for the BKK trip with besties over the weekend, company will make a difference to my decision. This trip is a retreat with the lovely bunch of people I've been volunteering with every Wednesday.
13 - 18 Dec : Cambodia - looking forward to this. Did I tell you how ex the air tix is? 500plus per pax. Jetstar offered 480-490$ per pax. SIA 20-30$ more ex. So decided to go along with SIA.

This post is dedicated to my Mister Darling's 26th Birthday.

So on his bday eve, I went to house at night to decorate his room!
I did all the alphabets, the superman logo and lighting by myself.
So proud of myself (:

Wil is very fond of superman.
So decided to change the S into W.

Bought him crab and chicken wing, waiting for him to come home from work which was around 11plus night time.
Then after eating, he went to bathe and I stationed outside.
While he came out, I switched off all the light and surprised him with the cake!

He thought there was short circuit.
Heh.

Didnt celebrate on his actual bday because it was his friend's bachelor night.
Planned to bring him to 1-Altitude.
Made reservation alr.
But since he told me abt the bach night, so let them go enjoy (:
I think I'm such an awesome girlfriend who doesnt kick a fuss over it.
Okay, enough of self-praise.

So a day after his bday, brought him to USS!!

Yes, the parking is expensive but still, I find this car so funny.

Hello all! ( I realised I start most of my blog posts like this. No creative juice )
So we (Chow, Ji Ting, Meimei, Yuan Kai and me) went out for dinner - Red Pig yesterday (Sat night).
Oh oh oh, before that, I had UniY meeting (three Unis) from 9am-2.45pm!!!!

Okay, so the purpose of the dinner is to celebrate YK's army life.
Or rather, to have a good dinner with us before he goes in to army.

Red pig is authentic korean BBQ.
Well, I said authentic because they speak Korean and the menu are in Korean except with small writings of English.
It looks like that.

I cannot rate because I've no baseline - no impression of how Korean BBQ is supposed to be like.
The meal cost around 100$ for the 5 of us so it's pretty okay.
But the food is seriously overpriced:
Rice - 2$
Ice lemon tea can - 3$
But they do serve free side dish like egg, tofu and tea.

Then, we went to Serangoon Garden for dessert!
It's called 一碗甜品 or something like that. cannot rmb.

So the three of us - we are friends!
Okay lah, cos the three of us hooked on Hanging with friends.
Then we rally in chow after that.

Hello all!

I've nothing to blog about.
Tuesday - Thursday are my busy days.
So today, my free day, I went to trim my eyebrow and had a haircut.
Feels good.

3 things I like that Wilfred does

01. Blow dry my hair for me.

02. Have fun with him. Especially, the human see-saw.

So he would be the see-saw, and he would lie on the bed with his legs bend and I would sit on his feet, holding tight on his lower part of his legs and he would swing me up and down (:

I tried being the see-saw and I could barely lift him!
We ended up laughing.

03. Read bedtime story for me (:

He bought a hell lots of Leo Lionni's children books for me.
I've a thing for children story books which have psychology concept in it.
And we both would lie on bed and I would lie on his shoulder and he would read for me.

Tomorrow busy day:

Morning - Meeting till 1pm.
Noon - Tuition till 5pm

God really has plans for everyone of us.
He has made great plans for me as I look back.
Placing me in Pathlight, then in Eden and these experiences bring me a step closer to serve in the house of Lord.

Sometimes people do ask me, why do I love to volunteer so much.
Well, if I see it as something addition to my life, it becomes a chore, a work.
But I see it as part of my life.
God uses everyone of us to do different things.
And my hands are meant to be to touch the lives of the special and needy communities.

Titus 3:14 : Our people must learn to devote themselves to doing what is good, in order that they may provide for daily necessities and not live unproductive lives.

Hello all!
Had a wonderful time at Ynaturewalk.
Really.

It was like the best that I had because there are many NUS people there!
Many of my excos were there and there were many new people too.
I love the idea that many more people are impacting and helping the special or needy communities (:

This week's VWO is Bishan Home for the Intellectually Disabled.
The residents range from 16-55 years old.

He is my bene (whom we refer to as beneficiary) - Wei Ping.

Hello all!
So back from my eventful day.

First up, met James first because Wayne was late.
And we decided to eat Sushi Tei.
Well, he decided to and thereafter, Wayne joined us shortly.

It was to celebrate his bday.

Happy birthday James (though I know he wont read because many dont know about my blog) and your so funny flapping hands. Heh.

After that rushed to Choa Chu Kang - ITE Clementi West - to witness the MOU between YMCA and NYAA.

Then, went to catch Lion King with Wilfred.
WOW,we totally want to keep the car in our pocket because the jam was bad, parking full, velvet had to wait.
And so, we were late for 30mins for the show.
But everything is good!
I like the fact that amidst the frustration of the situation, we never once displaced the irritation on each other (:

The service there is really good, may be because of the small area.
I ordered the cake and the waitress immediately knew who it was for and even asked if I want to write anything on the plate.
And she even peeped to see if we were ready to be served the cake and not just abruptly bring it out.

On the quest of not taking Wilfred for granted.
After getting together for more than a year, there may be a transfer of responsibility and I need to constantly remind myself, not to take him for granted.

When we first got together, I'm against him picking me up at 8pm after school because I want him to rest. And he would insist.
Now, I would inform him my dismissal time.
There's no discussion on picking up.
If he cannot pick me up, I'm fine with that. That happens when he has meeting.
If he can, I would let him know my dismissal time.
Times like this, I really have to thank him again and again.
Because it isn't his responsibility to begin with.

I love days that are spent meaningfully.

Still remember I had a UniY Presidency meeting with other UniYs and it ended at 10pm instead of the 9pm.
& I'm so glad that I'm still able to meet Xiting and Qinqin after that (:
It's how amazing that they become so close.

Wanted to blog about Wilfred and this reminded me of a conversation with Linda during the Prof B. dedication dinner.

Linda: So where do you usually go pak tor with Wilfred?

And THAT GOT ME THINKING SERIOUSLY.

Me: We seldom have time. We spend more time being together than going out together. Because I end school late on weekdays and I've tuition on weekend. With church. Together with my outside commitment. I dont really have time for him. But he'll make time for me by picking me up when my lessons end late; or fetch me to tuition. So we spend time while traveling.

That's pretty true my poor boy.
Except that we do watch shows at home together if we do have the time!
Like ytd, he picked me up from school after my 8pm lesson and he brought me to Ikea cos I always crave for their meatball (:

And God is good, all the time!
He didnt have his Ikea friends card with him and there is meatball discount for members, like half price!
So he decided to ask if can use NRIC to get the coupons. And I kept telling him, see the machine doesnt allow you to swipe your NRIC, so cannot lah.
He checked with the counter and the nice guy gave us the COUPONS.
Praise the Lord.
The counter guy was like,' okay, I give you for today only ah'
Thereafter, my darling got the coupon and said,'This is worth blogging. Dont always blog those 有的没有的 (that means dont blog about lame things)'

Here to share with you guys something I learned in class recently.

Thinking about the situation will actually enhance the attitude;
Whereas questioning the situation will weaken the attitude.

So how can it apply to our daily lives?
I used the analogies that my lecturer shared.
If we think about the sweet times we spent with our love ones, we may actually smile (:
So, it actually enhances our feelings for the r/s.

But if we kept asking our partner why do you love me?
It will actually cause him/her to love you less.

Imagine, you ask him and he replied," Because you are kind."

And then you said," That's all? Somemore."

He,"You are beautiful."

You,"Superficial. Anymore?"

Seee..when we force somemore to think of more and when that person cannot think of more, he/she may think that he/she may not love you that much afterall.
But when we cannot think of more, it maybe because we cannot access to some of our thoughts - so that's the inaccessible thoughts.

In July I bought a deal coupon from deal.sg (oh, I'm a deal craze. I look out for deals constantly and have been buying coupons. Not easy okay. Have to check out market rate and analyze if worth it a not)

I bought an unlimited underarm removal by Musee Plantinum Tokyo deal coupon.
98$ for lifetime.
There's an ongoing one or on/off going one from Aesthetics, I think, or something like that.
By the promo is always for a YEAR unlimited, so don't really like that idea.

So I booked for an appointment today (after 3 months since I bought).
I was quite skeptical and afraid of pushy sales because I went to read some reviews and they mentioned that they bought the deal coupon and there are pushy sales.
And yknow advertorial from bloggers are always different from the service we will receive.
But I went today and it was absolutely great!
I had the consultation today only.
But no pushy sales, no selling AT ALL!
Just filled in forms and Joy, who is assisting me, simply asked for my skin condition and told me what not to do prior and during the treatment.
Then fixed an appt for the treatment! (:
Everything ended in 30mins.

Well, still have a lot of readings to do but that can wait.

Have been sharing with few (actually a lot) of my friends that Wilfred is an emotional guy.
Well, his lifestyle actually changes quite a bit because of me.
He loves to watch romance movie/drama.

Example:

And i dislike/hate to watch romance movies.
They give me goosebumps, really.
And Wilfred as an emotional person, he would tear at the touching scene.
I would go like,"Why are you crying?"
Okay, no exactly since he was just tearing.
Then he would reply,"It's so touching. You have no emotion one."
Which is really cute and funny.

And we were watching No Strings Attached the other time at his house and I was so BORED that I said I didn't want to watch anymore.
So we stopped and he looked really sad. And he didn't delete it off.
Aiya, so I knew he want to watch lah (I think I'm good at understanding him)
So I did bring up the issue of watching, I mean I dont mind watching if he likes it.
But he kept insisting that I dont like (which is quite true. haha)
Eventually, we caught it on cruise because it was screening.

I don't think we have caught any romance movie in theatre before.
Maybe 1 or 2, but I really have no impression.

It has been a looooong time since I drew for him.
Miss those times when I sprang surprises for him (:
I called it a Blue Letter cos I gave him a letter once in a BLUE moon.

Now it's 8.10pm, had my test till 7.30pm just now.
History, not my forte.

Been really busy.
Penang last week.
Some asked how could I dare to miss a week of school.
It's an opportunity that's hard to come by.
If God has plans for me to be in UniY, taking on a leadership role, the more I should expose myself.
And this is what I really mean studies isn't everything.

Next up, this coming weekends is filled with leadership course.
Will be staying over at YMCA's hotel!

I guess my family is pretty good with me travelling like that and I've been staying home more often on weekdays.

Today was the welcome tea session.
In a way that the turn out isn't great, but I'm still feel really happy about it.
Happy about the fact that our team is so united.
So many exco turned up.
And we started to feel comfortable with each other after the first time we met.
I love the team so much because God provides them for me, for the community.
Deep inside, they've the drive to bring the club to a higher level.
I'm just so thankful for them.

Had an awesome day with besties(except xiting who overslept due to excessive camps. HAHA) that day.

Kinship cannot be broken, no matter how sour it becomes.
Mum will always be mum.
Dad will always be dad.

Friendship can be broken.
But if it is not meant to be, you won't have stick through thick and thin with your friends.
You would know as time passes if she/he is the kind of friend you want.
If you decided, yes, she's my friend, you'll stick with her no matter what.
You don't tell a friend, let's break up.

But love relationship is different.
It has to be maintained and cherished.
Often, as cliche as it sounds, we tend to take for granted and forget how sweet it started with.
The reason why I blog so much about Wilfred in this blog, is a way for me to appreciate him and as I look back, I'm thankful for him.
By verbalising what he has done for me, I'm aware of his goodness and that's a way for me to maintain my relationship.
How else do you think I still can appreciate him so so much after one year plus.
Because I see the good he has done for me.

& that explains why I blog so so much about him.
